Murder Most Fowl

When I saw this weeks challenge "FOWL" for
http://thethreemuseschallenge.blogspot.com/ I thought of "foul play". So here is my interpretation. I am using the images from the famous cartoon movie "Chicken Run" which I found on this website: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0120630/mediaindex . The story line as follows. Production is down... Mrs. Tweedy is desperate. The chickens are rebelling. Something must be done. Heads will roll. Rocky Rooster tries to save the day. Unfortunately, the inevitable occurs. The trusting fowl succumb to the evil Mrs. Tweedy.

Twins

This is my first challenge for: http://mixedmediamonday.wordpress.com/ Marvelous Mustaches is this weeks theme. I wanted to take a humorus approach. Pet owners tend to treat their pets like humans. They talk to them as if they really understand what they were saying. They buy them birthday gifts and some proud pet owners even go as far as putting wrapped Christmas gifts underneath the tree. So, Bronson can have the opportunity to do what comes naturally. Rip the sh....t out of the gift. Some loyal pet owners spend soooo.... much time with their special canine. I believe they become one and this is what happens. So, beware pet owners this could happen to you!!!!!

Just Friends

This challenge is for : http://artcreationsfriday.blogspot.com/ After designing on the dark side. I thought I would do something more light hearted with a little tongue and cheek. Using this gorgeous background as the challenge. I felt a black and white photo as contrast would be the perfect blend for this piece.

Circle Mandalas

This weeks challenge for http://thethreemuseschallenge.blogspot.com/ is "Circles." I have used strawberries and orchids to create my circle mandalas. I credit Ray Rasmussen for his tutorial on his web: http://raysweb.net/making_mandalas/01.html for teaching me how to make these beautiful and fun designs.

Wednesday, July 29, 2009

This weeks challenge for http://thethreemuseschallenge.blogspot.com/ is "inspirational." I have chosen Ray Rasmussen. He has published a tutorial on his website about creating Mandalas. Mandalas are found everywhere and have powerful symbolism across all cultures. All circles have a center. The center represents expansion and integration of opposites, micro and macrocosms. The center also represents the soul, god or individual. Circles/mandalas contain all symmetries. All of natures harmonious principles are exhibited through its harmonious relationships. I hope you enjoy these mandalas as much as I have in creating them. If you are interested in making your own. Here is Rays website: http://raysweb.net/making_mandalas/01.html

This is my second design for http://sundaypostcardart.wordpress.com/ the challenge Postage People.

Marilyn in Pink

I have created 2 designs for http://sundaypostcardart.wordpress.com/ This weeks challenge is Postage People. My first design I made was cutting out just the head of Marilyn from an actual postage stamp of her. The second design was using the whole stamp of Marilyn but putting it behind her. Her dress is from a paper doll collection. The background is scrapbooking paper. These two elements were made physically together then scanned in . The lips and lace were digital. I had fun with both so I decided to enter them together.
